The Member of Parliament for Beitbridge West constituency, Honourable Thusani Ndou, has urged the community to increase their involvement in livestock rearing and crop cultivation following his inspection at Masita Farm.

Honourable Ndou said he was impressed with the progress and the healthy, disease-free crops being grown using newly installed solar-powered boreholes at BB West and Masita Farm.

“Phanḓa na u shuma, phanḓa na u lima. Let’s utilize the land to grow crops such as tomatoes, watermelons, and maize, which will boost our economy and also supplement feed for our livestock. Agriculture is the backbone of economic transformation,” Honourable Ndou stated.

Meanwhile, Honourable Ndou expressed his gratitude to the dedicated team at Masita Farm, led by Mrs. M.P. Lupfumo Lumavuni, for their inspirational work within the community.

He also emphasized his vision of equipping every village in Beitbridge West with a solar-powered borehole to enhance farming activities across the constituency.
