THE Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution for Matabeleland South, Albert Nguluvhe, has called for stronger collaboration among provincial stakeholders through joint exhibitions at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair and other shows.
He said joint exhibitions play a critical role in promoting unity and presenting a coordinated provincial identity and presenting a one-stop shop for Matabeleland South products and opportunities.
Nguluvhe said this in an update published on his official WhatsApp channel on Thursday following his tour at the ongoing Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) in Bulawayo.
He had a comprehensive tour of institutions and exhibition stands from Matabeleland South, as part of efforts to assess progress and strengthen collaboration among stakeholders.
He visited the Municipality of Gwanda, Ofiice of the President and Cabinet Head Office, Matabeleland South provincial offices, Gwanda State University, Joshua Mqabuko Nkomo Polytechnic, and Insiza Rural District Council stands.
Nguluvhe said the primary aim of the visit was to gain insight into the activities being by provincial structures at both local and national levels.
He commended ongoing initiatives saying there is need for enhanced coordination to accelerate development outcomes across the province.
He said his office and local authorities should continue exhibiting together under one stand to improve visibility and strengthen stakeholder engagement.
Nguluvhe also called for tangible outcomes from twinning arrangements between local authorities and tertiary institutions, particularly in fostering innovation and driving socio-economic development in Matabeleland South.
Additionally, Nguluvhe encouraged local authorities to deepen collaboration in marketing investment opportunities, noting that a unified approach would improve the province’s ability to attract both domestic and international investors.
The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) 2026, now in its 66th edition, began on April 20 and runs until April 25, 2026 in Bulawayo.
Held under the theme “Connected Economies, Competitive Industries,” the annual exhibition aims to provide a platform for businesses, government institutions and investors to showcase products and services, promote trade, attract investment, and build partnerships at both local and international levels.
ZITF is one of the region’s largest multi-sectoral trade showcases, designed to stimulate economic growth, innovation and collaboration across industries.
