Zimbabwe U20 men ‘s rugby national team, the Junior Sables secured a massive 78-22 victory against Tunisia in match day 2 of the Barthes Cup at the Old Hararians Club.
Following their deflating 22-41 defeat at the hands of the Namibians, the Junior Sables bounced back with a massive win, redeeming themselves in front of their loyal home fans.
The team will be hoping to keep their winning rhythm in their next fixture against Kenya.
In another result, Namibia continued their impressive run in this competition as they effortlessly hammered Kenya l 22-32 .
Namibia sits on two consecutive wins, 41-22 against host Zimbabwe and 32-22 against Kenya. They will face Tunisia in their next fixture and they will be hoping to maintain their unbeaten record.
Meanwhile in the gentleman’s game, Zimbabwe men’s cricket team snapped Bangladesh by three wickets in the opening test in Sylhet yesterday marking it their fifth overseas test victory since which came after the completed their highes successful chase in the fourth innings.
Chasing 174 for victory, Zimbabwe got off to a strong start with Brian Bennett (54) and Ben Curran adding 95 for the opening stand.
The second test between the two teams will begin on Monday next week in Chittagong.
