Premier Soccer League debutants Kwekwe United defeated Bikita Minerals by one nil marking their first win of their season in the elite league.
The much needed victory comes on the heels of Kwekwe United’s devastating 4-0 defeat at the hands of the Bulawayo giants, Highlanders in match day 2 of the new season.
The Blues’ Masimba Mambare scored the only goal of the match within the first 28 minutes of the game to secure the 3 points for his side.
Kwekwe United took expressed their joy after garnering their first 3 points.
“A job well done to the Blues. The much needed 3 points are the pocket, Mambare made it again on the scoreboard,” said the Kwekwe based outfit.
FellowPSL debutants MWOS shot to the top of the league after securing their second victory defeating Yadah FC by 2-0.
As the season progresses, the three debutants Kwekwe United, Scottland and MWOS will be hoping to continue their positive start to the league marathon and make an impact by not only surviving but challenging for honours, something that has been lacking in the previous seasons where promoted teams have struggled.
