A Zimbabwean man abode a Johannesburg bound bus has allegedly gone incoherent, stripping himself publicly and throwing away his gadgets in what fellow passengers believe were initial stages of mental infirmity.
The man identified from his documents posted on social media as Panashe Neshena (31) is said to have started exhibiting strange behaviours soon after the bus he was a passenger was in South Africa.
“We have someone on board this bus going to SA. This young man whose images we have posted. He is going to SA but is showing signs that he started losing it on the bus. He has started stripping and has thrown away his phones.
He appears to be someone going to work who just started being unwell from nowhere,” a voicenote from a concerned female passenger said.
“Right now he has no clothes except the trousers, he has no shoes anymore. But he is showing signs he was on his way to work from Zimbabwe to SA. This is happening today September 6 and staff of the bus are considering dropping him off at Bosman at the police,,” sad the woman appealing to other people to share his images on social media hoping to get his relatives.
It is understood his condition was deteriorating and he was refusing to feed.
“Let’s help him so he does get help or his relatives locate him so he does not perish in SA,” said the unidentified concerned woman.
According to research, a sudden loss of mental faculties, or “losing one’s marbles,” can stem from underlying medical issues like head injuries, strokes, infections, or brain tumors, as well as conditions such as severe stress, depression, alcohol or drug misuse, certain medications, and severe sleep deprivation.
It can also be caused by severe imbalances in the body, such as severe thyroid problems.
Other deficiencies in the human body may also trigger such conditions.
