Milton Tsanzirai Mukamba has been sentenced to 23 years in prison for the brutal murder of his wife, Rutendo Kapfudzaruwa over $40 that the deceased had used without her husband’s consent.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe, the accused Milton Tsanzirai Mukamba unlawfully caused the death of Rutendo Kapfudzaruwa by assaulting her with various weapons all over the body intending to kill her.
Mukamba and the now deceased were in a customary marriage.
The accused and the now deceased had a misunderstanding over US$40 which the now deceased had used without the accused’s consent.
Mukamba assaulted the now deceased with various weapons. The assault did not stop until the now deceased died that same night.
The matter was reported to the police who attended the scene and found the accused standing with fellow villagers crying that he had killed his wife.
