Masvingo, Zimbabwe – The Charles Austin Theater in Masvingo will be hosting an event to cap the culture month in style by showcasing the rich and diverse cultural heritage of the city and its people.

The event, promises to be an immersive experience filled with traditional dance, music, plays, poetry, and a fine art exhibition and is billed to coincide with the end of culture month.

Public Relations officer for the Charles Austin Theatre, Simon Sakala said the event is a chance for the people of Masvingo to showcase their artistic talents.

“Our culture is the foundation upon which we build Zimbabwe, brick by brick, this month-long celebration is an opportunity for the community to come together and experience the depth and breadth of our cultural traditions,” said Sakala

Attendees can expect to witness performances by artists from local high schools, primary schools, tertiary institutions, and the broader Masvingo community. The event will also feature a special tribute to the Masvingo Town Clerk, Edward Mukaritirwa, who has raised the city’s profile nationally through his dedication to maintaining Masvingo’s cleanliness and hygiene.

“We are proud of the accomplishments of our Town Clerk and believe his work embodies the spirit of our city’s culture, this celebration is as much about showcasing our artistic talents as it is about honoring the individuals who have contributed to the betterment of our community,” notes Sakala

Admission to the culture month event is free, and the organizers are welcoming sponsors and partners to help make the celebration a truly memorable experience for all who attend.
