THE Municipality of Beitbridge has updated its billing system bringing it to the current month, the local authority said in a public notice late on Friday.
MoB has also expanded its payments centres opening points at Dulivhadzimu Satelite Clinic at Madinginye Clinic and the Fire Station as sub-pay points.
“We are pleased to inform residents and stakeholders that our billing system has been fully updated. All utility bills are now current and up to date. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience caused during the delay, and we want to extend our heartfelt thank you for your patience and understanding while our teams worked to resolve this,” MoB said.
“To make settling your bills easier and to help you avoid walking long distances and experience queues at the main office, we have activated additional payment points. From 26 May 2026, you can make your payments at the following convenient locations: 1. Dulivhadzimu Satellite Clinic(Madinginye township) 2. The Fire Station,” said the notice from the Town Clerk.
The notice encouraged timeous payment of utility bills saying it is vital for the sustained development of our town. We earnestly encourage all residents and stakeholders to settle their outstanding balances.
“Your contributions directly fund essential services, maintain infrastructure, and enable the Council to function smoothly and efficiently. Thank you for your continued cooperation and for helping us build a better community together,” said MoB.
Beitbridge has been plagued by residents’ lack of payment of services blamed on their poor extension of services to new suburbs and blanket cutting of water supplies affecting 3ven those up to date with bills.
A long- standing dispute with Zimbabwe National Water Authority (Zinwa) over unpaid bilks resulted in the latter installing a bulk water prepaid meter making MoB the only local authority in the country expected to pay before consumption.
MoB has been struggling to install pre-paid water meters blamed on its cumbersome procurement systems.
