A tragic road accident occurred in Chiredzi on Friday resulting in the loss of life of newly appointed traditional leader Hatisani Mabasa (82) and his son.
Chief Hatisani was newly appointed and first beneficiary of Masivamele Chieftainship after the Masivamele Chieftainship was upgraded.
Chiredzi District Development Coordinator (DDC), Lovemore Chisema confirmed the incident.
The incident took place near Zimbabwe Sugar Association (ZSA) bus terminus.
They were travelling in a government allocated vehicle which was part of President Mnangangwa’s efforts to enhance the welfare of traditional leaders.
Burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
