A 39-year-old police officer stationed at Jambezi has been arrested for raping a 13 year old girl.
He was arraigned arraigned before the Victoria Falls Magistrates’ Court and was remanded to the 7th of February 2025.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe states that the accused person poinced at a 13-year-old girl who was with her cousin.
The two were quizzed by the accused person on their mission at that “devilish hour” and divulged that they were waiting for their sister.
The police officer then dragged the complainant behind the shops were he fondled her breasts and kissed her, before he raped her.
The Police officer bought two soft drinks, two packets of biscuits and a bottle of opaque beer to buy the silence of his victim.
