South African President Cyril Ramaphosa will be in Harare on Friday to officially open the 115th edition of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show (ZAS), the country’s flagship trade and agriculture exhibition.

The show, which kicked off on Monday, is running under the theme “Building Bridges: Connecting Agriculture, Industry and Community.” It has already drawn hundreds of visitors, including enthusiastic schoolchildren taking part in exhibitions and hands-on activities.

Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Minister Dr Jenfan Muswere announced the development during Tuesday’s Post-Cabinet briefing, noting that this year’s showcase has attracted strong participation.

A total of 505 exhibitors are on board, among them 12 international firms from countries such as Pakistan, Nigeria, Brazil, Ghana, South Africa, Tanzania, India, Malawi, Mozambique, and Zambia.

Widely regarded as Zimbabwe’s premier business and agricultural expo, the ZAS continues to serve as a key platform for promoting innovation, trade, and regional cooperation. Ramaphosa’s presence is expected to underscore the importance of Zimbabwe–South Africa relations while spotlighting agriculture as a driver of economic growth.
