Musina — Residents of Musina have been advised to exercise caution when using water from the Limpopo River, following recent observations of a concerning change in the water’s appearance.

The warning has been issued by the Vhembe District Municipality in a notice alerting the public about the current state of the Limpopo River, which has turned green.

The notice states, “Musina residents are requested to be careful regarding the use of water in Limpopo River, which is currently green in color.”

The municipality has announced that it will collect water samples tomorrow to assess the quality and safety of the water.

Further updates will be provided to residents once the laboratory tests are complete and results are available.

In the meantime, residents are urged to be cautious and avoid using the water for drinking, cooking, or other domestic purposes until more information is received.
