Former Brazil striker Ronaldo has announced his intention to become the next president of the Brazilian Football Confederation.

The two –time World cup winner in 1994 and 2002 took his social media to announce his aspiration to become the CBF presidency and replace Ednaldo Rodrigues. Ronaldo highlighted that he is aiming to restore his country‘s glory in the global stage.

“Yes, we are still the only five –champion team in the world, but at the moment, even our concept of excellence is far below our potential. Have we lost the essence? What else has been lost? I can’t get back on the field like a lot of you have been asking me to .And honestly I don’t think our biggest loses in recent years have been within four lines. They were not televised. We need to look out of the spotlight into institutions. For the mentality of our athletes and for our relationship,” Ronaldo stated.

The former Brazilian forward has revealed his passion behind rebuilding the entire Brazilian football federation and bring sponsors for a powerful football transformation.

“I’m talking about management to move our structures preserving what sustains us ,reforming what makes us rot as an institution. I wish for a CBF loved by Brazilians ,respected by the whole world .An unprecedented ,powerful transformation that dialogues with athletes ,sponsors ,fans and gives protagonist the role they deserve ,relevant and essential, “ He added.

The Brazilian legend enters the race for the CBF presidency at a crucial time where the Brazilians are looking for a candidate who can restore the country ‘s reputation on the world stage after a series of underpar performances.
