South African outfit Stellenbosch FC have secured a CAF Confederation Cup semi-final spot for the first time in their history after shocking defending champions Zamalek 1-0 in Cairo.
Following their 0-0 at home, and 1-0 away victory, Stellenbosch FC booked a semi-final spot by 1-0 aggregate over the White Knights of Egypt.
Sihle Nduli scored the only goal of the match to dump the defending champions Zamalek out the CAF Confederation Cup.
Stellenbosch will face Tanzanian giants Simba FC, which secured a semi-final spot after defeating Al Masry 4-1 on penalties, following their 2-2 aggregate draw.
Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates have secured a semi-final spot in the CAF Champions league and they will face the Egyptians Pyramids and Al Ahly SC.
If Pirates and Sundowns win their semi-finals or Al Ahly SC and Pyramids win, South Africa or Egypt will surface their name into the record books of having two clubs from the same nation to play the continental final.
