Competition for the sole ticket to the Premier Soccer League is heating up in the Central Region Soccer League with appetising fixtures lined for this weekend’s match day 23.
Log Leaders Kwekwe United will be on the road to take on Tongogara in the headline fixture of the weekend pitting the top two teams in the league. The former leads the latter by three points with Tongo having a game in hand over the current table toppers. There is very little to separate the two teams as they both have strong defences which have let in few goals. Kwekwe United have conceded just 9 goals in their 21 matches whilst the soldiers are up there among the best in defending having conceded 10 goals to date.
Another exciting battle is on at JT AFZ Sports Club as the airmen Chapungu sitting on 3rd position host Dulibadzimu United who are on 4th. Both teams are coming into the match on the back of disappointing nil all draws to Dinson Mine and FC Wangu Mazodze City and will be looking for maximum points to keep pressure on the top and give impetus to their hopes of clinching top spot.
Elsewhere, former Premier League side, Sheasham, the Construction Boys will also be looking to rebound when they visit FC Wangu Mazodze City.
