A 10 year old male juvenile died after being trapped in soil washing mill at Eyecourt Farm Waterfalls, Harare during the weekend. The boy suffered fatal injuries after his head was crushed by the machine.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has confimed the tragic incident.
“The incident occurred while the boy was playing with a friend, also aged 10. As the two boys were exploring the area, the victim accidentally fell into the mill, which had been left unsecured,” said the police statement.
In an unrelated incident, Police in Harare are investigating a hit and run road traffic accident which occurred at the intersection of Herbert Chitepo and Harare Street, Harare CBD on yesteday 27/10/24 at around 0010 hours.
An unknown motorist hit two pedestrians who were crossing the road and did not stop after the accident. The victims were injured and were taken to Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals for treatment. Anyone with information to report at any nearest Police Station.
