MOTORISTS and transporters using the Beitbridge Border Post have been advised to complete their toll transactions before 23:45 hours Wednesday March 4 ahead of a scheduled system upgrade.

ZimBorders said it will carry out a major upgrade of its tolling system starting at 23:45 on March 4.

Zimborders said the system functionality will be limited during the upgrade period, which is expected to last about two hours.

“Traffic flow at the border may also be affected,” zimboaders said.

The border authorities said clients and transporters should finalise their transactions before the scheduled upgrade window to minimise possible delays.

Zimborders general manager Nqobile Ncube said the upgrade is meant to strengthen the efficiency of the border’s digital systems.

“It’s an upgrade to our tolling system that will improve system efficiency, improve user interface compatibility, and add enhanced security,” said Ncube.

ZimBorders management apologised for any inconvenience the upgrade may cause and thanked stakeholders for their patience and cooperation.
