Zimbabwean preacher and controversial diplomat Uebert Angel has abruptly canceled his much-anticipated “Prophetic Service,” just hours after announcing the rescheduling of the event.

This sudden decision has fueled speculation that Angel is responding to heightened pressure following a sensational address by war veteran and political whistleblower Blessed Geza, commonly known as Cde Bombshell.

Angel, who has previously been implicated in the Al Jazeera Gold Mafia investigation and has expressed fears for his life if he returns to the UK, had earlier announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the service, originally set for Thursday, would now take place on Friday, 28 March, at the Harare Hippodrome.

However, shortly thereafter, the same event poster reappeared online with a striking red banner declaring it as “CANCELLED.”

The cancellation comes on the heels of a potent national address by Blessed Geza.

Geza’s explosive remarks, which have since gone viral, accuse Angel of being part of an elite group that plunders national resources while leveraging religious influence for personal gains.

In his address, Geza specifically called out Angel: “There is Uebert Angel. You know his cases he was involved in Gold Mafia.”

The reference appears to have unsettled the preacher, whose reputation and diplomatic status have faced scrutiny in recent months.

As of now, Uebert Angel has not provided a formal explanation for the cancellation, nor has the Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued any comments regarding his diplomatic role or the ramifications of Geza’s allegations.
