Vhembe Stars Academy, the debutants in the ZIFA Matebeleland South Division 2 Pool A are set to face Jessie FC in their  opening match at Jessie Mine tomorrow, 3 May 2025.

The Beitbridge outfit, with its talent pool of youthful  players look forward to have a successful debut  and setting the tone for their debut season.

Vhembe Stars Academy will hoping to build on their successful pre-season and deliver good results in their debut season, following their participation in various tournaments in the build up to the commencement of the league.

Speaking to Ziyah News Network, Vhembe Stars Academy team manager Kelvin “Elder” Mukunga said they are eager to kick start their sojourn in Division 2 football.

“We are looking forward to have a successful debut and secure three points, and I think it will be  a good start to win an away game. We believe our boys are  ready to face the challenge after a long pre- season session and preparations, we just hope the team kicks off well in this campaign,” Mukunga stated.

Since it’s established in 2023, Vhembe Stars Academy has been a nurturing ground for the young talents and tommorow they will be embarking on a new path in the echelon of professional football league.
