BEITBRIDGE outfit Vhembe Stars Academy moved quickly as the Central Region Soccer League transfer window opened, with Tony Saunyama and Benedict Sithole reportedly on their radar as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the second round of the season.
Benedict Sithole currently plays for Manica Diamonds in the Premier Soccer League, while Tony Saunyama is the first-choice goalkeeper at Matobo FC.
Both players are former Dulibadzimu United products and are rumoured to be returning to Beitbridge, this time to join newcomers Vhembe Stars Academy, who are banking on their experience.
A reliable source said Vhembe Stars Academy are chasing the signatures of both Sithole and Saunyama.
“In the past three days, the two players were with Vhembe Stars Academy and I am very sure that Vhembe Stars Academy are on the verge of sealing the deal ,” he said.
The two experienced players left Dulibadzimu United last season. Saunyama moved to Matobo, while Sithole first joined Hardrock before earning a move to PSL side Manica Diamonds following a stellar performance in the Central Region Soccer League Division One.
