CENTRAL Region Soccer League Division One debutants Vhembe Stars Academy have relieved three senior officials of their duties in the Division One side on Friday, 24 July 2026.
Vhembe Stars Academy senior coach Blessing Madombi, assistant coach Paul Mugabiri, and goalkeeper coach Chigwandaza have been suspended from their Division One team duties.
Secretary General Foster Abekie confirmed the matter regarding 3 officials .
“Yes, three senior officials have been suspended from their Division One duties. Note that I said in their Division One duties only,” Abekie said.
Madombi joined the Division One side in January 2026, while Mugabiri and Chigwandaza have been with the team since its Division 2 campaign in 2025.
Efforts to get a comment on why Vhembe Stars Academy suspended the senior officials and for how long were unsuccessful.
Vhembe Stars Academy sit in 16th position with 13 points, three places above the last position.
Vhembe Stars Academy have recorded only 2 victories in their 17 matches of the first round of the season.
