Vhembe Stars Academy has donated a football kit to Vhembe High School as part of it’s commitment to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two parties earlier this year.
The kit consisting of a home and away strips also has 36 pairs of socks and five match balls was well received and hailed by the Vhembe High School Headmaster Mr Petros Sibanda.
“I would like to heartly thank Vhembe Stars Directors for this very noble donation, true to what they said last time when we had our MOU, they have come today to honour their promise.
“This (donation) is going to assist us in our preparations for the U20 soccer competitions coming up this month. So they have come at the right time for us , I urge th teams to reciprocate this donation by Vhembe Stars Academy by winning all the way up to the national level,” he added.
Vhembe Stars Co Director who is also the Ziyah Media CEO, Mr Loadwell Ziyadumah, promised that their academy will continue to work and honour all it’s promises made to the High School as contained in the Memorandum of Understanding already penned.
“This is the starting point of the fulfilment of every pledge we made to the school, “he said.
The donation of the football kit is a shot in the arm for Vhembe High School’s quest to be a purveyor of football talent and contribute to production of the next generation of football stars in Beitbridge. It also demonstrate Vhembe Stars Academy’s resolve to be a leading light in promoting home grown footballing talent by nurturing the next generation of football stars not only from Beitbridge District but the whole of Matabeleland South province.
