THE Welton Group of Schools successfully welcomed 92% of its pupils back to school on the opening day of the third term on Tuesday, September 7, 2026.

In an interview with Ziyah News Network, Welton Headmaster Tafadzwa Chindanya confirmed the high turnout on the first day of the term.

“That was massive, 92%, compared to many opening days when many pupils usually come on the second day. But this time, they came in large numbers on thr first day ,” Chindanya said.

The Welton Group of Schools offers a variety of academic and extracurricular programmes.

The schools offer the Cambridge curriculum, as well as several extracurricular activities, including rugby and many others.

Welton Group of Schools has recorded excellent pass rates at both primary and secondary levels for the past years.

One of the parents, Mrs Mabwazara, whose children are enrolled in the Cambridge curriculum at the school , said she was happy with the start of the new term and proud of the school for nurturing her children.

“The school has carried my children from my second born, who is now in Lower 6. I am grateful to the school and the teachers for continuing to nurture my children. They treat our children well,” Mabwazara said.

The Welton Group of Schools is a private school group located in Beitbridge Town and has enrolled a significant number of pupils from across the town.
