THE Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) has reduced the maximum pump prices of both diesel and blend petrol (E20) in its latest fortnightly fuel price review, with the new prices taking effect from 8 July 2026.

Under the new pricing structure, diesel will now retail at a maximum of US$1.87 per litre, representing a 12-cent decrease from the previous price of US$1.99 per litre. In local currency, diesel will cost ZWG50.37 per litre.

Blend petrol (E20) has been reduced by 5 cents per litre, from US$1.98 to US$1.93 per litre, equivalent to ZWG51.83 per litre.

The latest review means diesel has recorded the bigger reduction, offering motorists and transport operators greater relief compared to petrol users.

ZERA said the revised prices would remain in force for the next two weeks, until the next scheduled fuel price review.

The regulator attributed the price adjustments to continued Government interventions designed to shield consumers from the impact of global geopolitical developments that influence international fuel prices.

ZERA also reminded fuel retailers that Zimbabwe’s mandatory fuel blending ratio remains at E20 and stressed that the published figures are maximum pump prices. Service stations may charge lower prices depending on their operating costs and commercial advantages.

Fuel operators have further been directed to clearly display their pump prices in compliance with national fuel pricing regulations.

Consumers and industry stakeholders have been encouraged to verify fuel price announcements through ZERA’s official communication channels.
