The Zimbabwe Football Association has introduced changes to the examination process for aspiring FIFA football agencies in line with the recently amended FIFA Football Agency regulations, approved by FIFA Council in 2024.

In a statement, ZIFA highlighted that FIFA football agency exams will now be written online to reduce costs of travelling and other logistics challenges.

“Following extensive consultations with the Football Agency Working group, a consensus was reached to implement an online examination format. This revision eliminates the need for candidates to travel to a designated physical location, thereby reducing the cost of traveling and other logistics challenges,” the ZIFA statement reads.

ZIFA also emphasized that one of the key updates to the Football Agency exam is that from 2025 onwards the exams will be written once per year.

“From 2025 onwards the exams will be held once per year. The application period for 2025 will also be open from March 4, to 17 April 2025 while the exams is scheduled to take place on June, 18 ,” ZIFA stated.

ZIFA introduced these changes , to align with FIFA ‘s commitment in enhancing inclusivity and accessibility in football governance.

Online exam format is one of FIFA’s strategies to encourage greater participation in the football agency licensing process while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
