Matebeleland South Division 2 Pool A debutants, Vhembe Stars Academy emerged as the biggest winners of the weekend’s matches, thrashing Blanket 3-0, while Jessie who cruised past SuperSport 3-1 to go second on the table.

Following their 1-0 defeat against West Academy, Vhembe showcased their fighting spirit and ability to bounce back with a 3-0 victory, keeping a clean sheet and moving to position 3 with 21 points.

Meanwhile, Jessie reclaimed the second position with 24 points after securing a 3-1 victory against SuperSport who are currently battling relegation.

Last season runners up, Mawabeni FC finished its business with Boys FC , securing a 2-1 victory and moving to the 4th position, while Delete FC held Manama to a 0-0 stalemate draw, casing the latter to drop crucial points and cede their fourth position to Mawabeni.

The log leaders Super Strikers FC dropped crucial points following a 0-0 stalemate against 10th placed Gwanda Stars.

Super strikers FC leads the pack with 26 points, 2 points ahead of Jessie, 5 points ahead of Vhembe Stars and 6 points ahead of last season’s runner up Mawabeni FC.
