Harare – The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has intensified efforts to combat drug abuse and trafficking, making multiple arrests in Harare and Beitbridge over the past week.

The suspects were apprehended while allegedly sniffing cocaine placed in a wooden tray. Police recovered two sachets of cocaine, one sachet of Crystal Meth, and another containing a mixture of cocaine and Crystal Meth.

In a separate operation on 1 September 2025, police in Beitbridge arrested Last Chiyangwa, 44, a bus conductor, after discovering a suitcase containing 24 cobs of dagga in a bus at the Beitbridge Border Post. Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of Studymore Marimo, also 44, in Harare, after he received the suitcase.

The ZRP continues to urge the public to report suspicious activities as part of ongoing efforts to curb drug abuse and trafficking across the country.
