The Zimbabwe Republic Police has rescheduled the 2025 Commissioner-General of Police’s 21km Road Race to Saturday, May 3, 2025 from the initial planned date which was in March.
The event will take place at Mkoba Teachers College in Gweru.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police spokesperson, Commissioner Paul Nyathi, confirmed the change of date, adding that online registration for the event is ongoing.
“The event, which was to be held on 29th March 2025, will now be held on Saturday, 03rd May 2025 at Mkoba Teacher’s College, Gweru.”
The ZRP advised athletes and clubs to continue preparing for the race, with online registration still open via the provided scan link.
“May all individual athletes and Clubs continue preparing for the race. Online registration using the provided scan link is ongoing as scheduled.
The unexpected postponement came just days before the 31 March protests called by war veteran Blessed Geza.
