Nyaradzo Mubau, a 30-year-old bar lady from Nyanga, has been sentenced to 105 hours of community service for assaulting a customer. She was convicted and sentenced by the Nyanga Magistrates’ Court.

According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ), the incident occurred on July 30, 2024, at Little Swallows Bar.

The victim, Collan Misho, 34, requested 50 cents in change from Mubau, but she refused to provide it.

 After leaving the bar counter, Misho moved to a different area in the bar to continue drinking.

Mubau later approached him and slapped him in the face three times with open hands.

Following her actions, she was sentenced to six months in prison, with three months suspended on the condition of good behavior.

The remaining three months were wholly suspended, contingent on her completion of 105 hours of community service.
