BEITBRIDGE clubs are experiencing mixed fortunes in the Central Region Soccer League as the 2026 season begins to take shape, with teams battling for consistency across the table.

Dulibadzimu United FC sit in 10th position with eight points after recording two wins, two draws and three defeats in seven matches.

The team has struggled to find rhythm but remains within reach of the top half of the standings.

Further down the table, Vhembe Stars Academy FC are placed 13th with six points.

The side has managed only one victory in seven outings and will be hoping to improve defensively after conceding 10 goals.

The latest standings show contrasting fortunes for Beitbridge teams, with Dulibadzimu United and Vhembe Stars continuing to search for stability as the league campaign progresses.

Dulibadzimu United coach Polite Bheghedhe said he is disappointed with his side’s performances and urged his players to improve as they look to climb the table.

Dulis has had finishing problems and what appears a broken link exposed at the weekend by neighbours West Nicholson who thrashed them 1 for 3.

While their striker Simenjani Muleya is good at receivin and protecting balls, he lacjs a “broom” that will assist harvest the ball he ordinary wins from keeper and defence services.

Meanwhile, Vhembe Stars Academy FC head coach Blessing Madombi remained focused despite the team’s difficult start, saying the club is targeting maximum points in upcoming fixtures as they aim to climb the standings and finish the first half of the season inside the top five.
