RESIDENTS of Beitbridge are set to benefit from a major eye-care outreach programme offering FREE vision screening and eye health checks as part of the upcoming DOT Glasses Vision Care Camp.
Speaking to Ziyah News Network, Crisis Response Team leader North Star Alliance Beitbridge Wellness Centre Jabulani Makhado confirmed that the Vision Screening Programme is open to everyone aged 10 years and above.
He said the DOT Glasses Vision Care Camp and Official Launch, hosted by North Star Alliance, will take place on 10 February 2026, from 10AM to 4PM, at the North Star Alliance Beitbridge Wellness Centre (Blue Containers, next to ZB Bank).
Makhado said the initiative is aimed at raising awareness and ensuring that affordable eye care reaches the wider community.
“We are rolling out the DOT Glasses Vision Care Camp so that people become aware of this affordable eye-care initiative and receive the help they need to improve their vision,” he said.
Organisers say in a statement the programme is part of North Star Alliance’s commitment to wellness, dignity, and improved access to quality healthcare, especially for underserved and mobile populations in Beitbridge.
Residents are encouraged to attend in large numbers and take advantage of the free screening and affordable vision care services designed to help improve eye health and quality of life.

US$8.00 for reading glasses
US$12.00 for long-distance glasses
