FORMER Dulibadzimu United FC and Hard Rock FC player, Benedict Sithole, has secured a new home after signing for Premier Soccer League side Manica Diamonds.
Sithole confirmed his arrival on a one-year deal with the Gems Boys. Paymaster, as he is affectionately known, is currently with the Gems Boys in Chiredzi for preseason training ahead of the 2026 season.
On becoming a Gem Boy, Sithole said, “All is well, and this means everything to me.”
Sithole had a successful season with Hard Rock FC in the Central Region Soccer League Division One, winning the title, scoring 14 goals and being selected in the Central Region Soccer League Division One best eleven at the end of the season.
After winning the title, Sithole was unfortunate not to be recalled to the Hard Rock FC squad for the PSL side, leaving him with no option but to look for a new home.
One of his former Dulibadzimu United teammates, Phumudzo Ncube, said he is happy for his former mate and friend for his new adventure and he looks up to him as a player.
“I’m really happy for my former teammate and he is a good friend of mine. I look up to him and I am very sure he will showcase his talent because he deserves to play in the top flight. As for me, it will be a great motivation to watch one of my former teammates playing against big names. It only started with Bamara now it’s Sithole that will give me confidence to play to win and do better,” Ncube said.
Prior to his PSL move, Sithole played for Dulibadzimu United in the first half of the 2025 season before joining the Kwekwe side Hard Rock FC alongside his fellow teammate Ephany Gwavava and coach Rutherford Matondo.
