Republican candidate Donald Trump has made history by becoming the second President in the history of America to bounce back after losing his first re-election attempt defeating the Democrat candidate Kamala Harris.
Trump managed to edge Harris in most of the crucial swing states in America including Pennsylvania, and is leading Wisconsin, Michigan the blue wall states previously in the hands of the Democrats clearing his way to become the 47th American President.
The race to the White house had been punctuated by different polls suggesting a very tight race but as the results have it, they underestimated the Trump camp.
Analyst have branded the Trump victory as the greatest comeback in political history crediting his victory to a message which resonated with most Americans. His charisma and connection with the voters was evident throughout the long arduous campaign in which Trump survived two assassination attempt.
Whilst most of the main stream American media has been branded anti Trump, the entrance of Harris into the race put them in a conundrum as they had attacked Harris questioning her abilities as a Vice President.
In his address to ecstatic supporters, Trump was usual self, playing around with words , thanking supporters and his campaign whilst sticking to his guns on promisung to ” seal the borders.”
