THE battle for regional supremacy in the CAF U17 Girls’ Integrated Football Tournament (GIFT) 2025 continues to intensify, with massive scorelines recorded each day.
In a notable, South Africa‘s Mamelodi Sundowns Academy demolished Namibia‘s Namibia’s Otjiwarongo 16-0 to top group A with a superior goal difference.
Zimbabwe ‘s representative, Mpopoma Sports Academy continues to set an impressive winning rhythm ,securing a 2-1 victory against Luwinga to secure back to back victories.
Following a 12-0 defeat against Mpopoma Sports Academy and a 16-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns, the Namibian outfit Otjiwarongo has now conceded 28 goals in two matches.
This showed the ruthless performance of South Africa’s Sundowns and Zimbabwe’s Mpopoma, while highlighting the Namibian side’s struggles so far.
Meanwhile, Group B kicks off as Okakarara Golden Ladies will face Refilwe FC at 12:00 hours on Friday, December 12, 2025, while Aguila Stars from Zambia take on Lishoeshoe from Lesotho at 15:00 hours.
The much-anticipated Group A battle between Mamelodi Sundowns and Mpopoma will be played on Saturday, December 13 at 15:00 hours, after Otjiwarongo and Luwinga’s match at 12:00 hours.
