THE road to regional glory in the CAF U17 Girls’ Integrated Football Tournament (GIFT) 2025 is heating up, with Group B fixtures set to kick off their first matches on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
In a notable matchup, Namibia’s Okakarara Golden Ladies Academy will take on Zambia’s Aguila Stars FC at 15:00 hours, following the clash between South Africa’s Refilwe FC and Lesotho’s Lishoeshoe FC.
Meanwhile, Zimbabwe’s representative delivered a dominant performance, securing a commanding 12–0 victory over Namibia’s Otjiwarongo FC—an emphatic result that gives them a huge goal-difference advantage in Group A.
CAF Women’s Football congratulated Mpopoma Sports Academy for their explosive start.
“Twelve-goal masterclass! Congratulations to Zimbabwe’s Mpopoma Sports Academy for lighting up their #U17GIFT2025 opener,” the CAF statement read.
South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns Academy also opened their campaign with a solid 3–1 win over Luwinga, earning the first three points in Group A.
Across the opening two Group A matches, an impressive sixteen goals have already been recorded.
