The Central Region Soccer League Division One golden boot race is heating up as the league heads into second half of the season with stars from Sheasham, Dulivhadzimu United, Chapungu and Tongogara battling it out.

Sheasham ‘s Madzungu Wilfred leads the pack with 9 goals in 16 games. His closest competitors are Chapungu ‘s Mudimba Sausani, Dulivhadzimu United ‘s Benedict Sithole and  Tongogara ‘s Mwanza Peace on 7 goals each.

The three players are currently leading  13 other players who, two with 5 goals each, one with 6 goals, five with 4 goals each and the rest with three goals.

The race for the Golden Boot remains wide open, with several players in close contention, as the league heads to match day 17.

Dulibadzimu United ‘s Benedict Sithole started the second half of the season last year with fewer than 4 goals, but as for 2025  he has already  scored 7 goals before entering the second half of the season, a great impact for the team.
