Former premiership outfit Sheasham, emerged as the biggest winner of the weekend’s matches , thrashing Bishopstone 11-0 in Gweru. The decisive victory solidified Sheasham’s third-place position, just four points behind leaders Tongogara FC, Bishopstone, on the other hand, find themselves deeper in the murky waters of relegation .
Elsewhere and in a result that is testament to the competitiveness of the Central Region League, Tongogara FC suffered their first defeat of the season, losing 3-0 to ZRP Gwanda. Luckily for them, this setback did not have an impact on their position as they maintained their top spot, remaining two points ahead of second-placed Dulibadzimu United which was inactive this past weekend.
Beitbridge FC continued their climb out of the relegation zone, securing a 1-0 win against West Nicholson that left them on position 13 with 16 points.
