DANIEL Chamisa, also known as Madzibaba Wislodge, is expected to appear in court Friday to answer a charge of car theft and possibly murder.

He has been in police custody since Wednesday evening when he is said to have “walked” into the Beitbridge Police Station “to clear” his name.

He is known to have been the last personseen with money-changer Ashton Manga brutally murdered during a prayer.

People close to Manga buried in Chirumanzu Wednesday, said when Manga disappeared, he had gone to Chamisa to pray.

From there Manga was never seen only for his body to be recovered at the Waterworks Stream near Matibe Suburb also known as Eastlea.

He was recovered his remains still in a kneeling position suggesting he was bludgeoned to death as he spoke to God.

But when he came to clear his name, Chamisa found car theft charge waiting for him.

It is understood he called a taxi driver to immediately come for prayers since God had shown Chamisa a misfortune that would befall the taxi driver.

As soon as the driver alighted from his car he was instructed to leave everything to pick pebbles for use in prayer.

No sooner than he had turned his back did the driver see his car, drive away, Chamisa on the wheel.

The car was recovered at Tshapfutshe, according to information learnt by Ziyah News Network.

It is likely Chamisa’s car theft charge rises from that.

On the murder charge it is likely Chamisa must explain why Manga, known to be a long standing disciple of his, died in a prayer position.

Manga’s friends and relatives insist Chamisa, aka Wislodge, was the last person the deceased visited.

It is understood prior to this, and in the same modus operandi with the taxi driver, Wislodge called Manga asking him to quickly come since God had him shown something evil was about to happen to him.

It is said Manga was asked to bring along the money he had just received in his business to be protected in prayer.

Manga complied, to death.

Wislodge might have a tough time to explain why he opted to go out of town when confronted by Manga’s friends demanding to know where he left the deceased.

On that day he said he had never seen him. But he told, according to sources, a girl common between him and Manga, that he had a dream he had hanged himself.

And he could have sought shelter from the police instead of going dark.

Matabeleland South police spokesperson Chiratidzo Dube did not callback with details as earlier promised.
