The four champions of ZIFA’s division one leagues Scotland, Triangle United , Kwekwe United and ZPC Hwange are set to clash in the champion of champion’s cup scheduled to take place Gweru on December 7-8 at Bata Stadium.
The champion of champions is a new competition which will be played by four teams which won the regional division one leagues namely the Southern Region Soccer League, Northern Region Soccer League, Eastern Soccer Region league and Central region soccer league.
Following their successful Central Region Soccer League season Kwekwe United will take on the Eastern Region Soccer League champions Triangle United in the first semi-final meanwhile the Northern Region Soccer League champions Scottland battle against the Southern Region Soccer League champions ZPC Hwange on the same day at 3pm.
The tournament stands as a platform for the teams to prepare and see their weakness in order to beef up and strengthen their squads before they begin their dance in the premier league giant.
The competition is likely to be competitive as all the four participating teams are laced with good players some of whom have premier league experience.
