Flamboyant businessman Wicknell Chivayo has once again captured attention with his generosity, gifting luxury vehicles valued at a remarkable us$590,000 to Zion Christian Church (ZCC) leader Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi and his wife.
In a detailed facebook post, Chivayo announced he purchased a brand-new 2025 range rover autobiography SV for the Bishop, costing us$400,000, and a 2025 toyota land cruiser 300 series for amai Mutendi, worth us$190,000.
He expressed that the extravagant gifts were a personal token of appreciation to the couple for their unwavering efforts to uplift disadvantaged communities. Chivayo commended the ZCC for its transformative impact on lives, particularly for children and women in impoverished areas, and noted his gratitude was further solidified after witnessing the effects of his us$1 million donation to the church in 2024.
“I am filled with great pride to know that following my donation of us$1 million last year in April, the ZCC has achieved phenomenal progress in supporting charitable organizations, making donations to hospitals and schools under the guidance of his grace and amai,” Chivayo stated.
He elaborated on the inspiration he drew from the church’s projects during his visits to Masvingo. from covering school fees for orphans to feeding the hungry and constructing a magnificent church, Chivayo emphasized that the ZCC’s achievements under Mutendi’s leadership were remarkable.
“Bishop Mutendi, your dedication in providing opportunities to the underprivileged within communities is unparalleled and it is truly commendable and dovetails with his excellency, president E.D. Mnangagwa’s mantra, ‘nyika inovakwa nevene vayo,’” chivayo added.
