Excitement continues to build in Beitbridge following the announcement of fixtures for the Ziyah Media Under-20 Soccer Tournament, scheduled for November 22, 2025 at Dulibadzimu Stadium.

The draw, conducted live on Ziyah Media’s Facebook page on Monday, attracted wide attention as school sports directors and coaches tuned in to witness the process.

The event was overseen by Tournament Manager Kelvin Mahoro, assisted by Pathuseni Munyai, the Matabeleland South Provincial Coordinator, to ensure transparency and fairness.

During the draw, Chibi High School, the defending champions, and Tongwe High School, the Beitbridge District champions, were seeded in their respective groups to balance competition levels across the tournament.

“We want this tournament to be fair and genuine. No over-age players will be allowed,” said Mahoro, reiterating the importance of upholding integrity and equal opportunity for all teams.

He added that outstanding performers will be recognised through awards such as Player of the Tournament, Top Goal Scorer, and Best Goalkeeper, while trophies will be presented to the winning boys’ and girls’ teams.

Malala High School coach Felix Matanda said his side is ready for the challenge.

“We began preparing in September. We respect Chibi for what they achieved last year, but we’re ready to conquer,” said Matanda.

With the draw completed and fixtures confirmed, anticipation is high as young footballers prepare to showcase their skills in one of Beitbridge’s biggest youth sporting events.
