Vhembe Stars will now face Honemine FC at a neutral venue Bishstone Stadium on Sunday, November 16, 2025, after their original match venue, Dulibadzimu Stadium, became unavailable due to a scheduled Dulibadzimu United fixture on the same day.
The fixture adjustment was confirmed earlier this week, and both teams are expected to adapt to the neutral ground conditions.
Despite the change, Vhembe Stars head coach Paul “KB” Mugabiri remains confident in his squad’s readiness and motivation.
Speaking to Ziyah News Network, Mugabiri said the venue shift won’t affect his team’s focus.
“Whether it’s Dulibadzimu or Bishstone, our goal remains the same we are going for three points,” he said.
Mugabiri reflected on their recent 1–1 away draw against Spitzkop and said the team has been working hard to tighten their defence and avoid unnecessary goals.
He also mentioned some training challenges due to most of his players being boarders at schools outside the area, which affects full-squad sessions.
“We don’t always have everyone at training, but those who attend are fully committed mentally and physically,” he said.
As an academy, Vhembe Stars prioritises development over fixed lineups, which helps them manage without injury concerns.
“We don’t have a permanent starting eleven. It’s about giving players opportunities to grow,” said Mugabiri.
Calling on supporters, Mugabiri encouraged fans to attend in numbers and enjoy their style of play.
“Whether we win or lose, we stick to our entertaining football. We’re building something for the future,” he said
