Member of Parliament and Minister of State for Matabeleland South, Hon. Albert Nguluvhe, continues his thrust of turning focus toward practical, grassroots solutions as a means to drive development in his constituency.

This afternoon , he expanded his poultry initiative, a two-year community-driven program designed to boost local economies and improve livelihoods across all wards.

During a visit to Ward 15, Hon. Nguluvhe distributed chickens to various community groups, including primary schools, village heads, and war veterans.

The distribution of 20 chickens to Mapai Primary School and five to each village head and war veteran signals a targeted effort to foster self-reliance and entrepreneurship in rural areas.

Hon. Nguluvhe emphasized that sustainable development requires patience and collective effort.

“Rome wasn’t built in a day, and neither will our communities’ prosperity be, this project is about planting seeds for the future once these chickens breed, the benefits will multiply,” he remarked.

He also called on residents to view the initiative as a long-term investment.

“Nyika inovakwa nevene vayo our country is built by its own people. We must work together to turn these small beginnings into lasting success,” he said.

Local leaders and community members have responded positively.

Beitbridge RDC Chairperson Councilor Oscar Chiromo praised the project, stating, “This initiative is a practical step toward improving our people’s livelihoods, and we commend Hon. Nguluvhe for his proactive leadership.”

A village head who received chickens expressed optimism, saying, “This support encourages us to start poultry farming and take control of our economic future. We appreciate the MP’s commitment to our development.”

As the poultry project spreads across the constituency, many see it as a vital part of Zimbabwe’s broader strategy to empower rural communities and foster sustainable economic growth which leaves no one behind
