Zimbabwean music superstar Jah Prayzah has expressed deep sorrow following the deaths of two of his fans, Anotida Maziriri and Edmore Mafuwe, who died in a tragic car accident while travelling to attend his concert in Edmonton, Canada.

“I have learnt of the passing of two young fans of mine, Anotida Maziriri and Edmore Mafuwe, who lost their lives in a tragic car accident while on their way to one of our shows in Canada,” the post continued.
Following the tragedy, both families have launched GoFundMe campaigns to help return the bodies of Anotida and Edmore to Zimbabwe for burial and to cover funeral expenses.
The tragedy has triggered an outpouring of grief and support from Zimbabwean communities in Canada and around the world. Social media platforms have been flooded with tributes and calls to support the grieving families.
Despite the tragedy, Jah Prayzah continues with his Ndini Mukudzeyi world tour, which began in Harare on May 3, 2025. He has performed in the UK and Canada, with stops planned in Japan, Australia, and South Africa.
While the U.S. leg was postponed due to visa issues, the artist and his team say they are committed to carrying the spirit of unity and love across the globe.
The deaths of Anotida and Edmore have cast a shadow over the tour, but their memory lives on through the music and the community they were so deeply connected to.
