The Ministry of Public Services, Labour and Social Welfare has issued a critical warning to the public regarding a troubling surge in fraudulent recruitment calls made by individuals impersonating ministry officials. These scammers are exploiting social media platforms to disseminate fake job advertisements, which not only mislead job seekers but also undermine the integrity of legitimate employment processes.
In a statement, the Ministry emphasized that these individuals are deceiving job seekers into paying for non-existent job opportunities, clearly stating that there is no requirement for any payments for their services. This not only defrauds vulnerable individuals desperate for employment but may also result in a loss of trust in official employment channels.
The Ministry reiterated its policy of not charging for any services and urges the public, particularly job seekers, to remain vigilant against fraudulent social media posts that claim otherwise. The implications of falling victim to these scams can be severe, including financial loss and emotional distress for individuals who are already facing economic challenges.
Citizens have been urged report any suspicious incidents to help deal with these malcontents who are exploiting desperate job seekers.
