Local football fans can look forward to a Beitbridge derby this Saturday, 12 December, as Division 2 teams Vhembe Stars and Beitbridge Juicing FC meet at Dulibadzimu Stadium.
The match is free to attend and is being held to celebrate Juicing FC’s victory in Pool B of the 2025 Division 2 league.
Vhembe Stars finished third in Pool A, which included Gwanda district teams.
They will take on Pool B winners Beitbridge Juicing FC, who led their group of Beitbridge-based teams throughout the season.
Vhembe Stars manager Kelvin “Elder” Mahoro told Ziyah News Network that the match is meant to promote unity and appreciation among local teams.
“We are playing this derby with Beitbridge Juicing to celebrate their first-place finish in Pool B. It’s a token of appreciation to nearby teams and a show of solidarity in Beitbridge football,” he said.
A large turnout is expected as the game marks a key moment in Juicing FC’s successful season.
“We are there to celebrate with them so they feel supported as part of the Beitbridge football community,” Mahoro added.
