VETERAN educationist Isaac Noko has been conferred with Liberation War Hero Status by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
This was announced in a letter from the Zanu PF Secretary General Jacob Mudenda to the Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Martin Rushwaya.
“His Excellency, the President and First Secretary of ZANU (PF), Cde E.D. Mnangagwa has conferred a Liberation War Hero status to the late Cde Noko Isaac who died on 5th August 2026 and will be buried in Beitbridge, at Makakavhule Cemetery under Chief Tshitaudze. The family can be contacted through our Matabeleland South Provincial Offices,” said Mudenda.
“I shall be most grateful if you would make the usual burial arrangements and payment of benefits to his family. The Deceased is from Matabeleland South Province,” he said.
Noko had already earned his hero status from the Beitbridge community who celebrated his illustrious life through the Beitbridge social media which was awash with condolence messages.
