Zimbabwean sungura artist Mark Ngwazi narrowly escaped a serious car accident early Sunday morning.

The popular musician, known for his hit songs such as “Nyaradzo ya Baba” and “Dzimwe Dzendo,” took to social media to share his experience and reassure his fans.

In a heartfelt message posted on his Facebook page, Ngwazi described the incident that occurred around 5 AM, stating,

“Please help me to believe in the creator who is watching over us and fighting for #OtherBattles on earth. We were involved in an accident but all I can believe is that we only had minor injuries.”

The artist expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from fans and well-wishers, emphasizing that the accident would not halt his career.

“We want to say to you supporters and all those who wish us well, don’t be too afraid. We are able to work; we are not stopping the shows here, we have won here,”

he exclaimed, complete with a series of applause emojis.

Ngwazi’s message of resilience resonates amid a troubling trend, as his younger brother, Tendai Ngwazi, also survived a car accident in recent years while traveling to perform at a birthday party.

Fans and fellow artists have since rallied around Mark Ngwazi, celebrating his survival and expressing relief at the minor nature of their injuries.
