Former Warriors striker, Nyasha Mushekwi, who now turns out for Yunnan Yukun in the Chinese League one, has won his second Golden Boot Award in China and atop the scoring chart with 25 goals.
The thirty-seven year old Mushekwi has played 30 matches for champions Yunnan Yukun this season and finished with twenty five goals making him a top goal scorer, followed by Colombian Juan Algria of Guangzhou who finished second scoring chart with eighteen goals
Mushekwi is a former player for CAPS United and Mamelodi and in 2021 Mushekwi won his first Golden Boot award in the same league.
Mushekwi joined Yukun in March on a free transfer. It was after he left Zhejiang Greentown, where he became the club’s all time top scorer.
Mushekwi’s move to Yukun marked his third stint in Chinese football, having previously played for Dalian from 2016 to 2019.
