Former Zimbabwe national team captain Knowledge Musona has signed with Scottland FC, marking the first time he will play professional football in his home country.
The debutants confirmed the arrival of the 35 year old who was unveiled at Rufaro Stadium during the Yadah – Scotland FC mid week fixture.
Scottland have boosted their squad with the experience of Musona who played 17 years outside of Zimbabwe. Scotland also announced that Musona intends to finish his career at the club.
“He intends to finish his playing career at Scottland FC. He will use his experience to mould the emerging talent at Scottland and he looks forward to playing alongside captain and young brother, Walter,” stated the league’s Moneybags.
Meanwhile, Scotland FC has also secured the signature of Mafios Chihweta from the PSL giants, Highlanders FC.
Chihweta caught the eyes of Scottland FC following his remarkable performance with the Bulawayo giants Bosso.
“On a busy day in office, we are proud to announce the signing of exciting winger Mafios Chihweta .He joins from Highlanders.We wish him a successful stint as the newest member of Scottland FC,” Scottland FC stated.
Scottland FC is currently sitting on the second position with 43 points, one point behind, Simba Bhora the reining champions and one point ahead of rivals Mwos and the arrival of the two will boost the aspirations of the Mabvuku outfit who have made it clear they are gunning for the top gong, the league championship.
